It is with great sadness that we share the news of our beloved founder Terry Branson’s passing. Words cannot express the depth of loss our team is experiencing at this time. We are finding strength and comfort in each other and our cherished memories of Terry.
Hailing from a small town in Kansas, Terry fell in love with the fast-paced, collaborative nature of the startup scene in the Silicon Valley of the 1970s. That culture of innovation had a profound impact on him and laid the groundwork for his vision of the company that would become M3 Design. For 27 years, under Terry's leadership with the support of his wife Joan, our business has flourished beyond measure. His core beliefs in developing great relationships, delivering excellent work, and having fun along the way have been the foundation of our success.
At M3, Terry was more than a leader—he was a mentor, a role model, and a dear friend to each and every one of us. His impact on our lives extends far beyond the workplace. He was genuine, brave, dedicated and kind. He always showed up to work as his authentic self and encouraged us all to do the same.
He fearlessly shared with us his wisdom and guidance, and he never shied away from telling it like it was. We'll forever miss the stories he would share about his time in the Silicon Valley and the early days of M3…even if we heard them more than once. Those stories became the tapestry of our shared history, and we all wish we could hear them just one more time.
At this time, we are feeling both profound grief at his loss and immense gratitude that Terry chose to dedicate his life to building the company that we now call home. He cultivated an environment at M3 that was more like a close-knit family than a workplace, and we will remember him not only as our leader but also as our loved one.
His passing leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but we find solace in knowing that his spirit will be a part of our company's DNA forever. His legacy will forever inspire us to create, to innovate, and to cherish the bonds that turn colleagues into family. Together, we will continue to build upon the foundation he laid and strive to make him proud.
We ask that you keep the Branson Family and the M3 Team in your thoughts during our time of grief, and we sincerely appreciate your support.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held Wednesday, September 13 at the Rabb House in Round Rock, TX at 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the Branson Family asks that you make a donation to your favorite charity in Terry's honor. For any questions, please contact Kim Hatley at khatley@m3design.com.
